Reiki Circle: Boundaries & Self-Respect

By Lynn Tiang · Integrative Somatic Coach

A Reiki circle for women only, held in Gemini season for reconnecting with your real yes and your real no, through guided reflection and hands-off group Reiki centred on voice and boundaries.

Date and time

Saturday, 21 November 2026 · 5.45PM

Location

31 Hobson Crescent Thorndon

About this event

Gemini is an air sign ruled by Mercury, governing voice, communication, and the words we do or don't say. This circle sits in Gemini season, close to the Full Moon in Gemini, as a space to reconnect with the part of you that knows what a real yes and a real no actually feel like. Through guided reflection and hands-off group Reiki, we work with the voice, not as performance, but as a simple form of self-respect.

What this is

Who this is for

This is a circle for women only, for you if you:

  • Say yes when your body is already saying no
  • Go quiet to keep the peace, then carry resentment afterward
  • Want to speak more directly without rehearsing every word first
  • Are ready to treat your own boundary as valid, not something to justify
  • Have no prior experience, which is completely fine

What to expect

This circle will include:

  • Arrival and consent-based orientation
  • Grounding breath
  • Reflection: where have I said yes to keep things smooth, when my body already knew otherwise?
  • Hands-off group Reiki transmission
  • Quiet reflection and optional sharing
  • Tea and a light bite to close

You will always have choice. You can pause, opt out, stay seated, or simply receive.

Benefits you may notice

You might experience:

  • More clarity on where a boundary actually sits for you
  • Less residual resentment after saying yes
  • A steadier voice, less rehearsed
  • A softer throat and jaw
  • Real relief at not performing agreement you don't feel

Good to know

What to bring

Please bring:

  • Warm layers and socks
  • Water bottle
  • Journal and pen
  • Optional: blanket, eye mask

Pre-class prep

  • Eat a light meal around 2 hours before.
  • Hydrate well through the day.
  • Limit caffeine for a few hours prior if you're sensitive.
  • Arrive 10 minutes early to settle in.
  • You may wish to reflect on this beforehand: Where have I said yes to keep things smooth, when my body already knew otherwise?

Contraindications and safety

Reiki is gentle and typically safe, but it does not replace medical or mental health care. This circle includes guided reflection on real relational patterns, which may not be suitable if you are currently in acute crisis or highly dysregulated. You are always welcome to modify, stay seated, keep your eyes open, or opt out of any part of the practice.

About Lynn

Lynn Tiang is an Integrative Somatic Coach, breathwork facilitator, and Reiki practitioner. She works with people who look capable on the outside but live with chronic tension, exhaustion, or a sense of being "stuck" underneath — often after seasons of burnout, over-responsibility, or prolonged self-abandonment.

Her work blends somatic breathwork to regulate the nervous system, Reiki for energetic clearing and deep rest (hands-off, consent-based), and coaching to turn insight into grounded change. The approach is trauma-aware, practical, and spiritually spacious — less about forcing transformation, more about creating enough safety for your system to unwind and reconnect with its own capacity for calm and clarity.

Go deeper — 1:1 with Lynn

Lynn opens a small number of private 1:1 Integrative Somatic Coaching spaces each month — nervous system regulation, somatic inquiry, breathwork, and Reiki, with grounded coaching support between sessions.
