What this is

Not only the space around you, but the space inside you.

Spring Cleansing is a somatic breathwork session to help you clear out the heaviness that can linger after prolonged cold exposure — the sluggishness, fog, tight chest, low mood, water retention, and “damp” feeling in the body.

Through a consent-led, trauma-aware breathwork arc, we’ll support your system to:

  • mobilise stuck energy and stagnant emotions
  • warm and circulate the body from the inside
  • clear heaviness and fatigue that’s been accumulating through winter
  • come back to breath, clarity, and a cleaner inner baseline

You’ll leave feeling lighter, clearer, and more awake in your body — like the windows have been opened and fresh air has moved through.

Who this is for

This session is for you if:

  • you’ve felt heavy, puffy, sluggish, or “damp” after winter
  • your chest/breath has felt tight, shallow, or restricted
  • you’ve been waking up tired, unmotivated, or mentally foggy
  • you’ve been indoors more, moving less, and can feel it in your body
  • you want a reset that’s embodied, not performative
  • you want a welcoming, choice-based space to explore breathwork

What to expect

  • Arrival (consent + information) — chair, side-lying, and low-intensity options available
  • Nervous system primer: clearing and activation safely
  • Breath demonstration + choice of intensity tracks (including a gentle nasal-only option)
  • A guided somatic breathwork arc — clearing, warming, and releasing what’s been holding on
  • Optional movement to support circulation (micro-shakes, shaking, or gentle unwinding)
  • Integration rest + grounding
  • Closing reflection (brief journaling prompt or quiet pause)

Benefits you may notice

You might experience:

  • a lighter body and clearer head
  • more warmth and circulation through chest/shoulders/hips
  • improved mood and motivation
  • emotional release without overwhelm
  • deeper, easier breathing
  • a renewed sense of momentum that feels steady (not forced)

Good to know

Please bring:

  • Yoga mat
  • Warm layers (we’ll warm up, but your body may cool during rest)
  • Water bottle
  • Small towel
  • Optional eye mask or light scarf
  • Journal and pen
  • If you run cold, bring a blanket

Pre-class prep

  • Eat a light meal 2 hours before class.
  • Hydrate well throughout the day.
  • Avoid alcohol and recreational substances for 24 hours.
  • Limit caffeine 4 hours prior.
  • Arrive 10 minutes early for intake.

Contraindications and safety

Somatic breathwork may not be suitable for pregnancy; serious cardiovascular conditions; uncontrolled blood pressure; glaucoma or retinal detachment; epilepsy or seizure history; recent surgery or concussion; or severe psychiatric conditions/active psychosis. A conservative, nasal-only track is always available. This is not a substitute for medical care.

About Lynn

Lynn Tiang is an Integrative Somatic Coach, breathwork facilitator, and Reiki practitioner. She works with people who look capable on the outside but live with chronic tension, exhaustion, or a sense of being "stuck" underneath — often after seasons of burnout, over-responsibility, or prolonged self-abandonment.

Her work blends somatic breathwork to regulate the nervous system, Reiki for energetic clearing and deep rest (hands-off, consent-based), and coaching to turn insight into grounded change. The approach is trauma-aware, practical, and spiritually spacious — less about forcing transformation, more about creating enough safety for your system to unwind and reconnect with its own capacity for calm and clarity.

Lynn opens a small number of private 1:1 Integrative Somatic Coaching spaces each month — nervous system regulation, somatic inquiry, breathwork, and Reiki, with grounded coaching support between sessions.

2 private 1:1 spaces open for September.
